Last time he got away from the spotlight/groupies/etc (playing club footy up in Cairns) people said how much more mature he acted. Hopefully this'll be similar and the SL will have a new star.

If you put Todd Carney in the same team as William Tonga and Morgan Escare you have a very powerful attacking machine that will tear to shreds the defences of the likes of Wigan, St. Helens, Warrington, Huddersfield, Castleford and Leeds.

Yes, on his day he can be a class act, but this must be tempered with the numerous no-shows, lengthy layoffs with injuries (especially hamstring related), not to mention his antics off the field.



But when all’s said & done he’d be an improvement on Price, just hope he doesn’t defend on the right edge with Pomeroy, it’ll be like the bad old times at the Sharkies

Carney would be brilliant signing for the Catalans and the league as a whole - genuine class player. If he has a similar impact to Greg Bird then the usual top 4 better watch out!!

Very good player, but not a genuine world beater, but think he will fit in with Catalans style of play and will be a very good signing.

So where does this leave Scott Dureau? Will he be signing full time for the Roosters or will he stay in SL either to fight for a spot in the Catalan team or at another club?

Fantastic signing, can't wait to see him in action in SL next season.

All we need now is for Greg Inglis, Michael Jennings and Jonathan Thurston to go out on the lash and get filmed doing some stupid sh*t and SL might get interesting again!
