We must not forget that Martin Gleeson plays guitar and sings, and that Wigan owner Ian Lenagan is a writer and producer of stage plays. Gleeson may well be being groomed for the West End!
Also it was Martin Gleeson whose tooth embedded itself in the arm bone of the musically tone deaf Wigan centre Jamie Ainscough, thereby cutting short a brilliant rugby league career. What irony!

A club with only 20k left in the salary cap pot (plus the few quid Mathers will have freed up) being able to entice a player of Gleeson's calibre is one that deserves nothing but praise. |
