Nonsense, they've already visited Wigan several times, so didn't need to fill any quota. It was just a really poor choice of game and a really poor game.

No offence to Widnes but they were never going to get close to a Wigan team with Tomkins and O Loughlin in it.



I understand that Sky have to go to every ground a certain amount of times a year but yesterday was always going to be a tough watch for any supporter. I expected it to be one way traffic and it was.



Bilko is right about the reduced quality of the league with so many teams and Saddened come on they will always want to show the better team and the more recognised teams as it will get the viewers in. However much you and i may dislike them they are a big draw for viewers.

And err...which must see fixture missed out on television this week? There were only two close games the whole round, one was on television and the other was another "nothing game".

The nothing games can still be entertaining at least, albeit with nothing at stake. Widnes Cas next week is a nothing game but its a game the neutral can get into, widnes underdogs, home team, sky commentary praying for a widnes win to take them off the bottom etc, will be a little more entertaining then last nights joke of a selected game. Bradford Wakey or even Wire v Hull (close for an hour) would've been better games.

But by no means essential viewing and certainly not worth coming on here and moaning about missing.



If they'd shown them there'd still be moaning that they didn't show something else.

Show Widnes at Wigan and its a crap one sided affair. Show Widnes vs Cas and it's going to be 'lesser quality and poor to watch' elitist attitudes at its best.



SL has a tv deal to show the game not just the top 3/4 sides who themselves this year have mauled each other a few times and also got turned over by lower sides too.

I don't subscribe to Premier Sports to watch Leigh v Fev in the Championship, and aren't bothered about Widnes v Cas in Super League, so why would I if the League was called Super League 2 and they all played each other?

But you would still subscribe to Sky Sports, and others who dont may do - thus increasing income for Sky to throw at our sport.........................

But since Sky don't want Championship RL as things stand why would they want a competition of only slightly better standard? I'd watch the odd game as I did last year when the Championship was on Sky, but wouldn't subscribe to a new channel for them.
