| Little bit of perspective. The 2007 Rugby Onion WC saw 12 of the 40 first round games being won by teams scoring at least 50 points, including 91-3, 85-8, 87-10, 72-18 and 108-13.

| Like Brazil v San Marino or England v Georgia in other sports world cups there will always be tier 1 v tier 2 games in a World Cup tournament. I can't wait for the Scotland v Italy game and png v Samoa, both should be crackers!

| Get a grip! Football and Union World cups provide one sided matches. Even Super League does.
I'm sure if England actually win the world cup you will no doubt find a negative.

....but what did you expect from Ireland? '"
Is this the same Ireland who finished 5th last timeout, but look like they will end up as one of the lowest ranked teams in this competition? I dunno, maybe some work building on the 2008 performance done on the domestic game and even dare I say, a couple of actual Irish players in the 24 man squad....I fear for Ireland(sic) against Australia next weekend.....in many ways. It could kill the game or at best set it back 20 years if the Aussies put their foot down!

| Welcome to the world according to Saddened. For those not familiar, he's a firm favorite on the Saints board and always looking on the positive, hence his name.
The biggest disappointment for Saddened is that they have still not ordered his golden chair at Saints. I've heard that big Mac is working on it for him.

Tell me gutters
2007 RUWC NZ 108- Portugal 13, Oz 91 - japan 3, SA 64- USA 15
2011 RUWC NZ 79 - Canada 15, Wales 66 - Fiji 0, SA 87-Namibia 0, NZ 83- japan 7
Was rugby union destroyed in those countries? Stop being such a drama queen!
Actually just looking at the pool games in the last two RUWC some of those scores in a game where it is easier to keep games close are a joke.

| Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"Round 1 was sensational. The games were all competitive and there was a real buzz. The organisers had been quite clever with the fixtures and it set the tournament up nicely.
Round 2 is just a complete and utter embarrassment on the field so far. It pulls away the façade and there is very little left to be positive about. The big sides are up to speed and the minnows' enthusiasm wanes.'"
Its a damn shame the big 3 can't slow down a bit instead of the "dick comparisons" going on. Doesn't help the comp.
