In what way is bringing the video refs into the stadium, standing and fiddling with a touchscreen an improvement over a non-partisan environment in a Sky van where they can sit comfortably and and do it properly? It can only lead to less accurate decision making. And the ref badly announcing their findings to the crowd should last about as long as Stevo introducing the teams and the margin meter.

Good commentary can really add value to a game. It's time to start easing the old fellers to one side. Give stevo an occasional pundit slot, and Eddie can keep boots and all. But new blood please, sky. Protect your investment.

You can't deny that two ex players standing in front of the same screen talking us through replays we can't see through a dodgy microphone works well though.

My main gripe with them tonight is how much they were playing down the importance of the league and the league leaders before the match, referring to Hudds winning the LLS as a 'consolation prize'. While the Grand Final is more important, surely they should be bigging up the competition they are commentating on for the next 7 months or so and not playing it down!?!?

Really do miss Vossy commentating. Cant wait to watch the NZ warriors home games so I can hear him commentate again . Also looking forward to seeing how Tomkins does in the NRL

Where I have a problem is not whether it was a sending of or not (which I think it was by the way) but that another team other than Huddersfield could end up benefiting from it.
