| Quote Bullseye="Bullseye"The contrast between the analysis from Sterling and Johns before the Souths/Roosters game and that from Clarke/Stevo & Co is incredible.
The first you actually learn something (Amazing eh? What a novel idea!). The second you just want to press “mute”.'"
I caught the pre-match of Bulldogs -v- Brisbane this morning, with Johns, Finch and Fittler looking at techniques for tackling Tony Williams. In terms of analysis it was a different class and, like you say, the viewer actually learns something about how the game is played.
Also, I watched the Footy Show for the first time last night. Bit too "laddy", but shows what can be done with a bit of effort, enthusiasm and more importantly by showing the personality of the players. Night and day compared to 'Boots and All'. There must be enough players in SL with enough personality to sit on a panel and crack a few jokes in front of an audience, rather than Cullen and Clarke chatting statistics.
I still find it hard to believe that we are stuck with the same commentary team and formats of programming that we had pre-Super League.

| Having said that, I think that BackChat is a pretty good format and is the perfect platform for Stevo, rather than the full time presenting/commenting job.

No your not,
The senile old fool just waffles nonsense all game long, every game.
Take last night, he went on for about 5 minutes talking about whether Adrian Morley had ever played on Widnes pitch before.

Wasn't as bad as the three of them talking about playing golf for a set and a half ... I don't think there is anything in this world I care less about than those 3 playing golf together...

| He's an inspiration. I spend almost every day looking to get the link working and utilising the skill factor. If only somebody would get the message out that i need to take the 1 point or try a little chip over the top.

| I think Eddie's obsession with claiming every kick is a '40/20' attempt even though it's nowhere near the touchline and no matter where the ball lands is even more annoying than the Stevo-isms

| Thing what annoys me is everytime something happens it's "oh, he could have been penalised for that" and "That was a penalty surely" and "He was lucky not to be penalised for that".
They always seem to see the negative in everything, kind of like Jonathan Davies.
If Davies commentated on his try scored against the Aussies in '94, his only words would be "that was poor defending".

| EVERY SINGLE INCIDENT they try and create controversy.
Was there a hand in there? Was there a fingertip? He's been badly done to there.
Did he ground the ball? Wasn't that a forward pass?
Just call the game and stop trying to dispute every single decision the ref gives. News flash stevo, when people tackle, hands will be in and around the ball, every time someone loses the ball and it comes into contact with a defenders hand or fingertip doesn't = a steal.
For the love of god.
Surely we can unite together and have something done, I'm just......I'VE HAD IT with these commentators.

Apparently it was Brian Noble's ''350th coaching appointment'', whatever the f*ck that means.
You'd assume he meant 350th game as a coach, but he comes out with howlers like that week in week out, every game.
