I agree. Apart from Queensland's first two tries, there were very few examples of gamebreaking skill. Most of the metres made seemed to come from runs from dummy half (which apparently is only a Super League tactic...). It was definitely intense, but at the same time, it wasn't very entertaining. The style of play seemed synonymous with lower table Super League; a battle of attrition in the forwards, and a few scoots.

good game first 20 mins NSW had their tactics spot on, then crumbled after the sin binning that shouldnt have happened always biff in origin (good punch tho!!) the VR decision was a shocker but it happens at times unfortunately.

To be fair to the ref he was right with the sin binning and he did not give the Inglis try.



I thought the ref actualy said that he thought , " it was a shocking decision".

I don't agree - all the publicity, build-up and highlights packages of Origin games positively encourages the biff; when they showed a clip in rememberance of Artie Beetson, it was of him fighting. When they pay tribute to Wally Lewis, it's a fight.



Jennings joined in a fracas, which ordinarily would be a sin-binning, but so did half a dozen other players; it seemed a bit disproportionate to bin him and nobody else.



The test I suppose will be if the next game is refereed in the same way.

If Jennings was sin binned for that, you might as well have sin binned all 26 players during the O'Donnell fracas in 2010!

Good job you're allowed high tackles and grapple tackles in Origin or there would have been about 40 penalties.
