Is Robinson the guy who played in Australia in 2006? Played in the centres for at least one game against Australia? If it is, I hope he's improved immensely. If not, who am I thinking of?

c'mon fielden's been getting hammered all season off everyone....it's only been the past couple of month he's started to show what he used to do 5 years ago...



fielden will be targeted.....him getting levelled by willie mason will be shown 10 times aday,he'll be reminded of it in every press conference (if someone is stupid enough to put him in one in the first place)...it's took him 4 bloody years to get over it..

Yes Westwood is a kicker but with the strength in the second row is unlikely to be on the filed for the full game and i cannot see another kicker except maybe Cudjoe but he again is unlikely to start.

Luke has played most of the season at 9 and done so very effectively. I do not think there are many better English 9s. Given that the other hookers in the squad - Roby and Lunt - play in a similar style and our strength lies in our pack I think Robbo will have a fair crack at 9.

No Sinfield? Westwood won't always be on the pitch so we may go short for goal kicking.



I'd go with Tomkins FB, still learning the role but offers so much in attack. Really struggling in the backs so we need some spark.

Fielden's been Wigan's best prop by a distance this year and the best prop on the field in most games. He should definitely be in the team.



Also Gleeson should have been in but all in all pretty good squad from the players available. Not holding out much hope though.

It seems obvious to me that McNamara will play Tompkins and Brown together in the halves (as he did against the French) – which leaves Widdop at full back

Unlike most, I think that Briscoe and Hall have the physical game to counter the Aussies/Kiwi’s. Centre is a worry but at least Atkins is physically pretty capable



It will definitely be a tournament where a lot of the squad get a game – with (hopefully) four internationals played over four weekends... I don’t see too many weak links in the squad



I can’t wait now... bring on a month of international rugby league

Where has Gareth Widdop been playing this year ? Could only find 3 apps for Storm 1st grade, has he been playing for a feeder club somewhere ??
