| Quote Saint77777="Saint77777"Huddersfield are too good for him. Was once one of the worlds most feared props, but that was due to reputation. Mason ruined that reputation in one fell swoop with a half hearted jab, but wigan still fell for it and paid a stupid amount of money for him that resulted in them having to cheat to avoid ralegation. Watchimg him get used by castleford as a rag doll whilst at wigan was a hilarious memory of his playing career. Sure its on youtube somewhere

I bet you actually cheered when Willie Mason connected didn't you? Stuart Fielden WAS one of the best and most feared forwards in International rugby. I have a lot of respect for him as he represented Great Britain so well. He'll still be able to do a job for Huddersfield.
I'd quite like to see how you'd react to a 'half-hearted' jab like that?

| Had Fielden been injured out of the game just before that Tour, he'd be rightly remembered as one of the best British props of the modern era. He still should be remembered that way, regardless of what's happened since then.

| Heralding a cheap shot merchant like mason makes you look like the typical stains idiot that you are!
Lets not forgot, fielden wasn't just one of the best props in 2006, he was the best prop, and his exploits in that years wcc proved that!
His barnys with Barry McDermott are legendary! If he was a poor prop, Barry wouldn't have singled him out otherwise!!!
Was hoping he would have come back to Bradford, he will always be a legend here!!!
All the best Stuart 10 finals as a winner proves all the knockers wrong!

| strange people are saying he was never the same following the Mason punch
granted he wasn't tearing it up like he did at Bradford in the early 2000s, but he was an integral part of Wigan's Super League win in 2010. He works so hard defensively it's unreal. Good luck to Stuart, he'll always be fondly remembered in Wigan for the efforts he gave especially in the 2010 season

You'd think with a needless, sniping post like that you could at least get your facts straight.
He had already been at Wigan for five months prior to the Mason incident, so what exactly did they fall for?
Hope he goes well at Huddersfield, and finds some form - he's due a bit of luck!

| I was hoping that HKR would have been after him as he is just what we need for the young players to be around. He wont ever be the player he was before injury but still good enough for most clubs. I can see why Wigan don't need him as they have enough good players in thier squad, it don't mean he is past it.
