I think it's simpler than that. He thinks he's better than he is.



The sooner he stops believing his own hype, the sooner he will start being a good player again.

That's just another way of saying what I had written.



He tries to do much (thinks he is better than he is at distribution etc.), better to do what he got his name for (running the ball in hard and not moaning at everything!)



He needs to be dropped for a few weeks IMO.

For me he can go now.

You can see his heart is not in it and his mind is elsewhere,just p155 off to the dark side and we can concentrate on playing proper rugby.

one thing eddie definately didnt get right was claiming on friday night that warringtons last superleague game at the stobart was against widnes in 2008. i must have imagined the past several years in the championship.

He's been playing with an injury and having painkilling injections so far this season and whilst he is perhaps passing the ball too often at the moment if this means he avoids a long term injury by taking the ball up with his usual gusto every set then so be it. If he was to do 'what he got his name for' every week he'd likely suffer a Fielden-style burn-out before long, which would be of no use to either Saints or England.



If you knew James rather than just going off what you see on TV and believing other people's opinions you'd know it is not a case of him believing his own hype. And frankly if you had people trying to take your head off every tackle I think you'd complain once or twice too.
