Quote fc baldy="fc baldy"We ended up on the one that is going to be used for Morrisons...got there just after 12 and was out and back on east lancs in 10 mins so that was good.
We enjoyed going to a new ground but just thought more could have been done and not knowing the area well....(not that bit anyway)...just thought more could have been done for the speccys and the kids especially.....Not a moan, just constructive critisism
'"
Do you mean like posting the following on the Hull board a week before the game
The roadworks have been completed, for those who went to the Knights game.
Parking on site - roadworks have gone
Parking on Pennington Flash opposite LSV
Parking in town - 10 min walk
Parking on Parsonage retail - 5 mins walk
Parking at LMR - 5 mins walk
Good beer route in town centre - start at Thomas Burke 9am, via White Lion, Boars Head, Yates's, Muskateer, Goose, Leigh Arms, Waterside, Hilton Arms, Centurion, Brittania, Leigh East to Ground. Most of these do food.
Alternate Railway at roundabout after the ground, Leigh Miners across rd, over bridge to Leigh East, Legends bar outside west stand, Park inn next to West stand also does decent food deals.
Try Leigh RUFC at the bottom of Hand Lane, Cricket Club on Beech Walk and Robin Hood at the lights on the By-Pass before the ground turn left onto StHelens Rd, Shepherds on St Helens rd not too far as well.
Harvester Pub on Parsonage Retail Park past the ground, next roundabout 200yds, with KFC opposite,
Hope you come in numbers and have a safe journey.

| Quote RED LEAGUE="RED LEAGUE"I did work on the sports village and was told it was only going to hold 10000?
If the stadium website confirms 11000 then id take it as truth?'"
Originally a 10,000 all seated stadium , altered to take 12,000 with the standing terrace north stand being 4,000 capacity
When the LSV was originally planned you needed 8,000 capacity to enter SL , I remember Nigel Wood asking me what the capacity would be at the Whitehaven v Cas match at the Rec in 2005 , I told him 10,000 , shortly afterwards the RFL announced that 12,000 would be the required capacity to enter from 2008
Suddenly several clubs were announcing they had the required capacity despite no discernible changes to stadia that previously had only just passed the 8,000 level
So the LSV is defiantly 12,000 + just

| Capacity is slightly less than 12700.
I don't know what the fuss is about ?
It increased due to the north terracing not being seated.
Its a cracking little ground. Why does it need to be bigger when 10300 turn up?

| Easy to get parked near the ground for me. Just parked in a street near the retail park. We were a minute late for kick off as well, so it wasn't about getting there early.
Can't really comment on how hard it was to find the ground because we used SatNav to get there!
Was anyone else in the retail park near the Sainsbury's when the chav decided to have a kick off? One of the funniest things I've seen! In stereotypical fashion, gobbed off at a woman in a car, then when a by passer came to help, said something to him, narrowly avoided getting floored, then backed off whilst shouting more threats ("come on then, I'll have ya!" isn't quite as threatening when you're back pedalling!)

Sounds like it only needed someone to kneel down behind him and trip him up and it would've been perfect

| I came for the weekend, attended both games and stayed in the Park Inn at the Leigh Sports Village and must say I thought everything about the LSV was great. Easy access, good traffic flow, fine parking, nice ground etc.

| Thought the crowd was ok for a fixture against Wales, one big plus point was the amount of families in the seated stand behind the sticks. We had no hassle getting to the LSV either, all in all a decent afternoon out.
