I like the slogan but the advert isnt the best.



Like someone said tough, having Sky advertise weeks before the season actually starts is quite an accomplishment especially without using any generic footage/catchphrases. People want a Tomkins based one or and England RL based one etc but that wont attract people, they will glance and see oh two men tackling each other great whereas with this one at least it tries to show a little bit of humour.



Some people on here could have an argument with themselves in a locked room about things in RL.

I'd only seen the waxing part. Wow, the rest of it just screams "fat ugly northerner".



I'd also like to mention that it doesn't actually show ANY rugby. If people don't know what SL is, how will they know it's a rugby advert?!



It's a dreadful advert.

It's not though. At least you know that they're football adverts. They actually show football clips!

Because this advert is a complete mystery?

It's a shame the Stobarts sponsorship could not have been decided earlier , as an advert including say one or the trucks , with a whole load of players inside it [ no , not ileagal Aussies







But yeah, it's a shocker.

Dreadful. As others have already said - however 'clever' it might be - there's no rugby. I'm less concerned about the northern stereotype some seem to be seeing (I think you're just fat, hairy, and paranoid) than the fact that to the lay person it might as well be an advert for pies.

As someone said, you've got to know what Super League is or recognise Eddie Hemmings' voice to know it is an advert for rugby league. It's terrible. The pie at the end says it all.

So RL get a dedicated adbert to promoting thr sport and people start moaning what the guy looks like...brilliant.

Of course there is a dedicated Advert, Sky want people to watch their program? We shouldn't feel 'grateful' or think Sky have 'done us a favour'.

If you didn't know what Super League was, how would you know this was a rugby advert?

I don't know whether it's supposed to advertise the new season or a "hey look, we show super league" thing.
