these players have carried these injuries for months, deferring surgery till the season is over

This is sadly true to a large extent.
The game still hasn't quite got it right since the SLW. Until we have more players, like Prince has today, speaking about the desire to represent Australia, we won't get back to our international potential for rugby league WITHIN Australia.
Having said that, New Zealand have a mighty side irrespective. |
