I'm not sure what records were broken with the "80000"? I recall the days when that was a poor crowd at the old Wembley. Has it been rounded?



I saw Lizzie Jones' "Abide with Me" late last night on the internet. She was amazing and I hope the final will be remembered for her and her late husband.

I have one more gripe - the statue. RL fans should hang their heads in shame that Neil Fox was not voted as one of those honoured. What more does a man need to do and at Wembley too? Disgraceful in my opinion.

Ill be the first to admit that i cant stand Leeds and thought that yesterdays game was dire from a neutrals (well biased Wigan fan) perspective.



However a was shouting at the TV "GO GO GO" when Briscoe was heading toward the line for his 5th

that's true but also seen as only 2 teams can play in the final then a bit of stupid statement to make really, i'm sure had it been allowed, every team would have played in the final

The longlist was created by a public vote - the final selections were made by 'a specially convened panel' consisting of ex players, administrators and the media; I can't find who comprised that panel.

regarding the statue, i would have thought Shaun Edwards and Neil Fox would have been more worthy of it than, say Offiah?

I've often wondered if Edwards accociation with the dark side hindered his selection.



Can't argue with his accociation with Wembley though (excluding his assualt on Bradley Clyde obviously...ha ha .)

You missed the point totally , It is the fans of the other clubs moaning about our display that are sad, at least we were there to fail & we will have to live with that as a club.

of course most fans want to see their team at wembley, luckily for us and other fans we have experienced that although losing was bad enough i can't begin to imagine how rovers fans feel today!

It was pretty cack, no two ways about it.



Maybe the intensity of the disappointment means it passes quicker, but today I'm just relieved that Briscoe can't run in a sixth. It's over, you pick up the pieces and move on. There's another game next week. And it is just a game.



It also deadens the pain in some ways that I don't think we could have matched Leeds, even if we'd been much closer to our best.



I do wish we'd played better and not broken the widest margin of defeat record by such a margin. I doubt I'll ever see it broken again and I honestly wouldn't want to.
