I understand and share your impatience, but you can't start selling merchandise and tickets before you've decided on the format or done the draw. |

I'm almost certain that it's 12 of the 14 that are confirmed. They gave automatic places to the 10 from last time and then added Cook Islands and Wales.
The qualifying competition I believe has two groups (three nations per group IIRC) with one from each group qualifying. The original plan was for the qualifying competition to take place in 2012 (hence no 4 Nations, Euro Cup or Pacific Cup) and I don't believe that has changed. |

The other automatic place is likely to go to either [iCook Islands[/i, who lost in the final of the 2009 Pacific Cup to Papua New Guinea, or [iLebanon[/i, who narrowly missed out on qualification for 2008.
The RLIF announced in February that the competition would be expanded from 10 teams to 14, with two of the extra sides to come from qualifying tournaments which are likely to be the Pacific Cup and the European Cup.'
I'm not sure how they're going top use the European Cup as a qualifier when the four competing nations already have World Cup spots. Maybe they got mixed up with the European Shield in which case Lebanon aren't even takling part.
In the Pacific Cup only the Cook Islands aren't already going to the UK in 2013 so they could lose every game in the cup and still go through.

Frankly, unless the economic climate gets loads better, you can forget London - certainly for families. The cost of getting to London and then the ground is prohibitively high. Not fortgetting that you can watch it on the TV at home (in 3D by then), or, if you want more atmosphere, in the pub!

But if Australia are playing NZ... it's fair to say the vast majority of supporters will either be Aussies or Kiwis. It's unlikely many poms would want to come along anyway.
Most Aussies and Kiwis live in London...so we dont have to worry about the cost of getting here.
So why play the fixture anywhere other than in London? If its played somewhere up north it just means the Aussies and Kiwis have to travel. |

The opinion that people have that all Aussies and Kiwis in London work behind a bar is completely untrue.
Its like the rumour that the English are terrified of soap and water and refuse to shower more than once a fortnight.
I know the English have a shower once a week whether they need one or not

TBF they should have it at wembley, they is far more cubicles at that stadium then any other. Thus making it more conveinent for the Aussies who like to over themselves. |
