| Quote McClennan="McClennan"I didn't and won't. I don't see what booing does other than demotivate people. The players knew they had a stinker of a first half last week and didn't need reminding of it. What should have happened is we should have recognised that the team needed vocal support and gotten behind them.'"
Agreed.
Sometimes I think certain people take a basket of rotten fruit with them just in case!!!
I'm more of the silence is golden type of fan - silence speaks volumes etc.

| Quote saints35 bulls0="saints35 bulls0"a lot of the feelings were carried over from last year - especially amongst people that I know from the World Cup. 2008 was a disgrace, from all the players and coaching staff - but were told last week that we had learnt the lessons, moved on and various other cliches.
The first 40 mins were just an extension of the World Cup for me - same old failings and an inability amongst the players to "get up for it" (i.e. a lack on interest or motivation).'"
Does that mean that we should forget that getting behind the side is more important than booing it?

| Quote Catalancs="Catalancs"And the second 40?'"
I applauded them off at the end, due to the increased endeavour, pride and interest shown in the performance.
I am a realist - I know we are going to be the underdogs in these games, and dont expect us to win much. The one thing I do expect to see is Pride.
Pride in the shirt, pride in the players own individual performances. The players should be proud to walk off the pitch and be able to say "I did my best".
After 40mins on Saturday, not one of the England team could say that.

it could be argued that the 2nd half performance came on the back of getting booed off. Maybe the players finally realised something as they were walking off at half time.
What is the point in clapping and cheering like moronic seals, regardless of what is served up? What will ever change if people dont express their true opinions?

| If you read various players' autobiographies it quickly becomes clear that league players aren't the most professional or committed when it comes to internationals.

| The booing I heard was by Bradford fans when they realised who was sitting next to Tony Smith.

That's not an argument that would hold up in court.
