Toronto’s signing of SBW is a double-edged sword.
On the one hand, it’s going to raise the profile of the club and of the competition.
On the other, I think they are going about the on-field success in the wrong way. We’ve seen time and time again that in RL, having a couple of superstars rather than a deep squad of good players never works. Apart from SBW, I don’t see many in that Toronto team who are SL standard. They’ve also used up both marquee spots.

Maybe only Toronto are wealthy/daft enough to offer such a huge contract.

So Toronto have shown how much cash they have, makes the waah they won't pay for everything for my team look as pathetic as it is.
The whole point of marquee exemptions is to bring in stars to SL. On the field isn't everything either - by all accounts sbw is an immense influence on other players as well.
Anyone who can't see that this level of spend doesn't at least show Toronto's potential to help grow SL then nothing will.

Great news. Sky Sports need to make him the face of Super League. He needs to be front and Centre of everything!!!
This is the first time in ages that Super League has got a genuine star playing Rugby League in Europe.

Not only that, he lives a clean life so no chance of him beating up students/using homophobic language/taking illicit drugs/abusing takeaway workers or beating up his wife. |

Toronto Wolfpack were admitted to the Rugby Football League on the proviso was that they covered all travel costs for 25 people for the away team - This is still and will continue to be the case going forward. |
