It's because we appealed and lost

I'm suprised we even appealed against this. We should have been content that we didn't lose 2 points in the first place. Then again, docking us 2 points for appealing seems a bit draconian to me.

Good result for us only 5K instead of 10K. Points don't matter were crap, and are going to finish in the bottom two anyway

We're not going to be challenging for anything this year except the wooden spoon. So on reflection, the fine cut in half is a good result, not that it really matters to us anyway.

Why appeal then ?

I don't think we can put any positive spin on this.

I don't know if anyone has made you aware, but I didn't make the decision to appeal it. I'd suspect that someone at the Club has appealed it. At a guess.

I stand corrected on the fine. It's actually been increased. However my initial point still stands. Of course it was appealed. A Club is always going to try and get a reduced punishment if the suitable avenues are available to them. In this case, the appeals process. Whether it should or not is another question. In the big scheme of things it's meaningless to us as a Club. It doesn't effect our chances of a top 8 place, there's no relegation, and we have an owner that probably takes more money than the fine as pocket money. So that's why it's meaningless. Plonker.
