I think "a real charmer" is harsh. He has definitely had his issues, most of them alcohol-related, but he's generally a well-liked individual, popular with his team mates, and he did very well both on and off the field in his short spell at Fev. Not excusing his past misdemeanours, but he's far from the loathsome individual you are portraying.

No its not full of people who sit in judgement. You possibly forgot about the internet people who will come up with any amount of excuses for criminal and cheating behaviour. Even if that behaviour spans over a decade and the person involved is not a 'kid'. Or the people on the internet who may think the conduct of players off the pitch does matter.



Fortunately for fans who want players with long records of being good role models the bad apples often leave / disrupt / regularly underperform / look to leave early or crash and burn.
