Thoughts, teams, predictions ... Fill your boots

from a salford fans point of view, I think its time we got behind the club.



YEs the club has made mistakes, yes maybe they dont have the best staff in place, yes maybe things arent the best in certain areas...BUT....one thing all sides have in common is ..we want a successful salford RLFC.



ITs about time we stopped the nagtivity and all worked together towards the common goal...people staying away etc is only making things worse as we have less money. Lets get the atmoshpere going, get behind the players, promoite the club to friends / family.......maybe the club have made a mess of this...but fans are PART of the club and so we could do SO SO much - maybe that will help the club and solve some of the obvious problems.



I know people are fed up after years of hurt, but thats salford.....very few of us were hooked on a champioship winning side.....we were hooked on the atmoshpere of the shed....the rollercoaster ride....the best game in the world and the great fans you only find in rugby league.



This is a chance to wipe the slate clean with the new ground and as fans we pay a huge part. People finding faults and spreading negativity are only going to damagae the club further....if we fail now, the fans are as much to blame as anyone else.



so come on, lets start the party rocking at the new stadium on tuesday...show the players how much WE love the club and hope it rubs off on them. How many times have we outsung teams when getting beat 60-0.....now we only boo.....lets raise our game and help the players raise theres!!



We all want the same thing - a successful SRLFC - lets start playing our part!!!

Great post the adventure of playing in a new stadium is about to begin, it SHOULD be a positive experience for all, i hope as fans we can put aside the obvious negative feelings we have on certain people and aspects of the club and 100% support the boys for each 80 minutes they play.



Back in 2003 the fans and the club stood together and help to move the club on, im hoping for simular actions this season, we are making history here however you look at it and i hope it will be a positive story



I hope if wigan do bring their "ultras" it might spark an atmosphere of sorts, it is a frendly and friendlies arnt the most atmospheric but you never know new stadium new way? possibly.



Wigan are a champion team and will be a stern challenge for us, as long as we complete for the full 80 minutes both in attack and defence then i will be happy.

It would be useful if we stop a cricket score appearing as some fans who went to leigh or decided to give it a break after leaving the willows will be monitoring our progress by newspaper and Tv so no batting calapse will be good.



So better atmosphere than halifax, 100% comittment to the cause and no injuries as we need a fully fit squad would be in my eyes a succeful nights work

I am hoping coaching staff and players will know enough about the opposition to nullify their strengths,and with the Salford crowd staying with the players throughout the 80 minutes,The Reds can prepare for the important fixtures under the floodlights with the first of many home victories against Super League opposition.

Sorry if this sounds a little defeatist.



If the forwards can get a foot hold in the game, and we keep Wigan within 20 points, it won't be a bad night. Rather than concentrating on the result, it should be about individual players proving they can match SLs best. Certain prop forwards have much to prove, but I'm sure our backs will score tries. If the forwards can lay a platform, obviously.

Wish I could go but being a school night I have to stay home with the Boys. The late finish is to late for the youngest.
