Paterson news is spot on, signed an agreement to join Leigh 6 weeks ago. Not sure if this is dependent on them reaching Super League or not - I would suspect not. Marwan is not a happy chap about it either but what do you expect when you treat players like Locke and Puletua as he has?



There is also some truth in the Hansen rumour, however he's still got two years left to run on a reasonably lucrative contract and would therefore cost too much in transfer fees (assuming we remain in Super League, as relegation would mean ALL contracts become null and void).

I hope I am wrong but I am expecting more performances akin to the last Leeds game... once we are in the Championship all these "want away" players will then become free agents and sign up with other SL clubs in a matter of days of relegation (sound familiar?)

I think you're being too pessimistic.



What you've got to remember is that if a team of players basically don't care and want away, playing e isn't great leverage when trying to attract interest from a new team. It's a dangerous tactic and one that just wouldn't happen.



In affect, if a player or players 'want away' their best option is to play themselves into an offer by another Club. Unless they're happy to take a serious pay cut and get swiped-up by a Championship Club. Common sense really.

I was only asking a serious question Mr Butcher ,it has been implied on this Forum that fthe said 2 are the same ,not being in the know with all things Salford I thought I would ask, no harm done, I have never met Mr Barker so I don't know him.I have met Marwan a couple of times and find him a very nice ,entertaining host.

Well "The Butcher" sure aint The Good Doctor.........................And I aint Marwan's dad either.

But talking of Mr Barker. He does appear to be a close friend of Angela Powers if you look on a certain social media site.

If he were to join Widnes, to which I'd be overjoyed as I think he's a cracking player, were would you say his better position is? Centre or winger? I know be is a centre by trade but I think the pace he has surely makes him useful on the wing
