Can't wait to see the new logo.

It's a great move. We can't afford to sit on our hands. The team will realistically take years to improve to the extent we are challenging for honours, even regular top 8 finishes. In the meantime let's do everything else that can be done to improve the club with immediate cash injections and some proper business acumen: more comprehensive backroom staff and conditioners, better merchandising, improved matchday experience, Junior Devils, etc, etc.



Since the good Dr took over we have seen massive change. Other than Long leaving can anyone suggest a single negative to what has been tried and achieved? Vive la Revolution!

I can only congratulate Dr Koukash on the timing of this.

Just as we reach the nadir with 2 consecutive heavy defeats we now have the coaching staff installed,new branding, and the optimism of new signings to strengthen the squad.

Not only that,he has made the very important addition of making it known how he valued the top class support the players were given from the magnificent followers on Sunday.

This must have given a huge lift to everyone as we now aim for 2 consecutive wins for the first time in 2013.





On another forum someone has hinted that this 'Red Devils' branding may alienate any potential new soccer supporters on the blue side from giving rugby league a go.Any thoughts ?

Master stroke by the Dr, you can buy a club, you can buy a team, but you can not buy heritage. He has recognised this and moved quickly to remind us of our halcyon days, get the marketing machine behind it now and push it for all it is worth. Has won the fans hearts with this in my opinion.

Well I'm a season ticket holder at Salford and Manchester City and it has no bearing on me whatsoever. There might be perhaps 5% of people who are stupid enough to avoid supporting a local RL team based on their name, but if thats the case then so be it.

Easily solved if that's the case. Just drop the "red". Nowt wrong with Salford Devils.

I'm well aware of our history. Small price to pay if it distances us from football and gets bums on seats.

I can't make my mind up on Koukash. He's obviously got alot of passion to make the club as big/good as possible, which is great. I do worry though, when clubs start speculating on "lining up major players". You dont know how much of this lining up is agents simply bumping prices up for their clients at their respective clubs or home markets, and before you know it, the deal is dead in the water.

Simms did it for years to little effect, though in saying that I appreciate Koukash has the finances to back himself up.



Salford Red Devils.. meh.. not a fan of nicknames myself especially Warrington's but I suppose it may attract more youngsters who may associate the club with MUFC. I'm not sure what use 3000 free tickets to see a club getting battered does at this stage. It may do more harm than good.



I do hope it all comes off though, and that Salford start getting regular high attendances and start being competitive in the league and cup.
