| We need to do some serious work on improving the yards we make in a set of six. I'd like to see the stats but I woudn't be surpised if we were only averaging about 30 yards a set. It's been noticeable in all four games so far. We seem to always pass 5-8 yards wide of the play the ball to a man stood a few yards back and not really running on to it - opponents have been laying flat passes onto men running on to the ball - it makes a huge difference.

| We are nothing like deep enough - the ball is going across the line (stops with Stuart though) to men who are standing still.
No moves again - no dummy runners, pi$$ offs, run arounds and our tactics are easy for an opposing coach to combat.
That said the effort was terrific and the defence better though I would like to see them move up much faster.
Malcolm has to be a second rower now away from acting half back. His service is getting slower by the week and nothing is being created from dummy half. Why oh why was he on for the first 60 minutes? Is it something to do with being Coach`s assistant - if it is then its defo wrong imo.

| Alker has never been a good hooker, great tackling machine and whenever moved into back row can run a good line and split a defence. However his distribution from acting half is pedestrian and he handles the ball like a brick. Should have introduced a quality hooker years ago either by giveing Cloughy or Turner a good run at that position.

| To be fair thought Malc had a good game, maybe not quite mom but not far off. Think the hooking position has changed so much, been as a neutral to a few games this year and with players like Monaghan, Leuleui and L'estrange hookers are just much quikcer and more skillfull.
Thought we did ok tonite, solid and the few occasions we did throw it about caused them problems (the move to set reatchford through particularly). Win next week is certainly on the cards if we play like that.
Come on salford!!

| Agree with most of the points on here. If we can get a fit Ray Cashmere back in the team, our overall yardage will improve. And as the title says, if we manage that defence and effort level next week, we will win. Come on Solly!

Personally Luke Swain was my man of the match, but much like last week everybody showed up but we were outdone by one moment of skill and orfords deeper kicking game, still concerned by slower play the ball.

Agree with you on that, just seems to have lost that spark, think Jewwit needs to be given a chance next week, bit more aggression, but hopefully no penalties!!!!!!

I think weather and a decline in the Bulls crowd had a bit to do with that - in no way condoning our support numbers, but that must be the lowest Bradford travelling contingent at the Willows for some years?

| Got to say I doubt we'll win if we don't start to get the forwards hitting the ball with real pace and agression and winning the contact, was making a mental note of the sheer amount of times we got tackeld on our backs and Bradford were on thier fronts.
I'm also not convinced Houldsworth is a scrum half, thought Matty Smith looked pretty decent from what i've seen (any clues why he wasnt even on the bench last night?), think the positional kicking needs to be done by Houldsworth as last night was the first time in years we have made real ground when kicking for touch from hand, let Stef kick closer to the line as his high ball is 2nd to none and let Houldsworth use his seige gun kicks to clear the lines better, wouldnt mind seeing when kicking from deep if we could get the ball dead in goal as then you have that little respite and time to form a line and stop any early breaks.
