I love reading your stuff but I think Ratch was slightly different and I think BartonFlyer put it across very well. I remember speaking to Steff near the end of his contract and I said to him Saints were made for his style of play and he said I might not go anywhere I might stay here. That said he went to Wire and who could blame him as he's already achieved. He already has stated he has a couple of years left at Wire but added in response to the "coming home" chants he would let Warrington decide if he stays or goes.
Bear in mind he also auctioned off his cup final shirt to help us out during our hour of need. Not to mention he is at most games at Barton if his club has no game.
As a side I agree with you about Morley as I read an article about him a couple of months back in League Express where he stated (if of course he did) "I've never had any real ambition to play for Salford".'"
Salford red all over, I agree with you and Barton Flyer about Ratchford, even if my post didn't read like it. RL is a short career and people need to do what is best for them and leaving Salford for Warrington was the right move. The point I was making is that let's not pretend Ratchford is some sort of prodigal son waiting to come home because he isn't really. He moved on when the time was right and fair play to him for doing so.
The song was cringeworthy because why sing about a player coming home when there is no real indication he is 'coming home' or even really wants to, apart from the odd rumour from people. |

I don't think we'll sign him either but I don't think a KR fan should come on here laughing at us when you've just lost all your best players like we did last season! The fact is if there wasn't a salary cap we could afford to sign him no problem. IF a 'Marquee' player rule comes in you can count on one thing, the Doctor WILL pay whatever it takes to bring a top line world renowned player to the City of Salford stadium!

It must be gutting for some of the more mediocre teams in the league to see some one come in to Salford and start flashing the cash. Exciting times ahead at Salford. I heard the SBW is practically a done deal although the money I heard involved in the deal seems ludicrous. |

We have lost our best player in Dobbo that is all paea is class I admit and I am gutted hes going to FC but he can be replaced, Paterson is wanting to go back to aus cos of his family. Other than that who else is going? I come on here to see if there was a thread already about next weekend and had a look at the posts, that is all.
