No doubt you will get some who would like to chew your ear off for suggesting this, but as you say it does happen. A friend of mine works in HR and he can tell some stories on this subject.

| `The one thing we can't do is carry on as we are. Pi$$ poor coaching and pi$$ poor selecton decisions are killing us imo.`
So true
But this was a comment about the PIES coach.

No discernible difference between Salford under Harris and Salford under Noble. Is it the choice of coaching staff? Or is something else going on behind the scenes that's causing all of this?

| We can only speculate on that, you must imagine it would be a difficult environment for a head coach of Harris' stature to work within i.e relatively inexperienced, wanting the chance and too afraid to upset MK.
The facts are, we're 11th in the table despite having a squad that is more than capable of challenging for the top 6 let alone top 8. We're on a terrible run of results and our performances aren't showing any signs of improvement despite a number of injuries and suspensions returning to the 17 over the previous few weeks.

| Quote Bonita Red="Bonita Red"Big difference in style and intensity, but not results or morale'" Salford under Noble had won 3/7 matches(43%) at the start of a season with a completely new squad, and were still in the cup after beating Hull. Salford under Harris have won 14 of 46 matches (30%) and lost in the cup to a team from the lower division. I'm not sure where this myth that things were terrible under Noble has come from, but it was worlds better than what has happened under Harris and I have no doubt the club would be much better off at this stage if Noble had been in charge for the last 18 months.

| I agree.
I'd not done the stats but,as I said previously, Harris needed time to impart his systems ( 'the players need to absorb information') but,for reasons that have been flogged to death, there has been little or no progress.
We'll never know where we would've been with Noble but the way he was removed from his position was the start of amateur decision making.

Indeed. And if my Uncle had had tits, he'd have been my Auntie. Of course we may have been better off with Noble still in charge. We could also have been worse. That part of your argument is pointless. The first part, however, is what we actually know and it makes unpleasant reading as a Salford fan.
I wasn't a Noble fan when he was appointed. I wasn't a Harris fan when he was appointed either. I did not let that prejudice anything and was willing to give them both a fair crack of the whip. It's with great dismay to vilify myself on these feelings. I'd rather be eating my hat.
Sheens coming in could be MK's best decision, after all, if the National coach of the Aussies can't do anything with us then it's fair to say nobody will. Whether he coaches or Directs proceedings, I think he will lend the Club some much needed kudos and keep our reputation from falling any further. At least for a while. If we hope to sign any name from Oz having Sheens here puts to rest any feelings of uncertainty from prospective players to.
I just wish the Club would be decisive and stop farting around.

I agree we haven't got the time to be messing about, we are staring down the barrel of championship rugby and even more embarrassment unless something drastic changes soon. We are in total free fall with this terrible run of results and all the off field drama over the past few weeks. The time is now for decisive action and ignoring the heart strings, it's a complete and utter mess we're in. No matter what some of us may think of Marwan Koukash I actually feel he deserves better results for what he's invested in Salford and the sport of RL.
There will be many people at this club taking home a tidy salary and it's about time some started earning it with results on the field. It's a monumental failure regardless of injuries, this squad of players should never be next to bottom of SL. The final straw was the pi$$ take team performance on Tuesday night considering we had all the extra days to recover and prepare for the game. Our opponents would have been sore and more fatigued than us but it was evident they wanted it so much more.
Yes we all want the same, stability, positivity and better results but the team have to do their bit. It does feels like treading on egg shells giving an honest opinion at times. Sensitivity, defending against criticism and finding excuses isn't going to get the club out of this hole.
Rant over.

I don't know exactly but Salford apparently lost over 4 million last year and MK said at the recent press conference the club were currently 150K in the red, if I heard correctly.

| Quote John Gilbert Reds="John Gilbert Reds"Oh and I would love to have Paul Rowley as Salford head coach. The things I would give to see Salford play a similar brand of 'care-free' and entertaining RL as Leigh have done for these past couple of seasons. In a game where people are too concerned about percentages Rowley has ripped up the coaching manual and gone about things his own way.'"
Because Rowley has the freedom to do it.He's never questioned? from above. The Rugby is left to the men who know, without interference from others who don't.
