Thought Joel played really well today, took all his tries well and was very tidy in defence, he's a strong runner aswell. Should of had his hatrick really although Blythe got there first.

| I had to leave with ten minutes to go, but from what I saw to give the MOM to Joel is being generous.
No one wants Joel to succeed more than me but other than a strong tackle in the first half I didn't see much of him until the 30th minute.
I thought Myler played well and looked the player that we wanted him to be last season (that said I still don't think Richie deserved to be dropped at the back end of the season)
I thought Mona's M, Richie and Matt were our best three.

I thought Bridge was very busy today and was always a danger with ball in hand. Big Shout for Solamona putting some great tackles in and for his try.

| You lads got a good hit out today, just what both teams needed. Score somewhat flattered.

Flattered who? Our young lads were given a run out agains a top Championship side and held there own with no great issues. I think you will have a decent season again though.

| Hard one MOM i thought....Solomona for me... I loved the 2 times he put left wingers clean through from the kick off with those long raking passes across the line.... King clear on the first one and Williams I think second time.. He also got through some good defensive work.
Then probably king and bridge.
In all honesty we didn't really play that well.... The scoreline certainly flattered.... Good to blow a few cobwebs away though.

| I think there's a lot to be said about the gulf in class between to two sides/divisions. We won by 48 points today without playing particularly well. I think we've got a bit to go in terms of being ready for Cardiff in a few weeks time. A few passes going behind runners, runners not being where they should be, and mistimed passes. Saying that we were comfortable without having to get any further than 3rd gear. No disrespect to Leigh, it's just the way it was.
As for MOM
Myler - busy and caused problems. Did well defensively
King - Solid in defence and dangerous with ball in hand
Solomona - Monstered them.

| Once again, your guys were good to watch and will be a force to be reckoned with, once the cobwebs are blown away, and understandings are developed. What I like about 'Wire' is the invention they bring to a game - especially Briers and Solomona.
Thanks for turning up in numbers yet again, and giving us the repect of selecting a powerful squad.
Good luck in 2011.

Leigh have a great stadium and the town is rugby mad, it is about time Leigh were back in Super League.
Its only then that you will be able to attract the better players that the town and investment in the stadium deserve.

| Hodgson for me. How good is it to have a decent kicker on the field (no disrespect to Benny)
