Who's going and where are people staying, we are staying in Llorret again, going Wednesday till Monday.

I'm going for the first time - really looking forward to it.



Been saying year after year that we'll go this year and never got round to it until now,



Staying at Santa Susanna Thursday to Monday.



Hoping to go to Barcelona one day - never been there before.

Anyone want any Restaurant recommendations or places to visit around Perpignan then send me a PM.



There are four adults in our party and we have each had 3 courses plus coffee and a couple bottles of wine & we have been paying around 160 euros which works out about £145, we have been going to restaurants as opposed to Cafés.



Beer isn't particularly cheap, but we have been paying around 3 euros per glass of wine which is about £2.30, we have found it far cheaper to drink Wine. Unfortunately Beer can be around £5 a pint in Perpignan, so get on the Wine.



When you get the bill service is always included so you don't need to tip. We have been to the Beach quite a lot and within 25 minutes drive there are plenty of sea side resorts, with the nearest being Canet a Plage which is less than 7 miles, but for me not the best resort. Collioure is a beautiful seaside resort and about 30 minutes easy drive from Perpignan, it does get busy so get there early to get parking. Argeles Sur Mer (Racou Beach) is about 20 minutes away and miles of sandy Beach with free parking, we went there today and loved it.



Castelnou is a very pretty village, 20 miles away where you can get lunch and have a relaxing stroll around the Village which is built around a Castle, very quaint and peaceful.



All the places we have been we have really liked and found really nice.



As regards the RL, all the Catalans fans we have met really enjoy the Rugby and are very friendly and appreciate good RL.

This will not go down well but I'm hoping TS continues blooding youth at Catalan. With a short turn around, flights back and a CC semi, it seems the right thing to do.

We are flying from Licerpool to Barcelona on Thursday 31st July at 7.05am then staying at a hotel in Santa Susanna until the following Wednesday.



Getting the Catalans Tour bus in on matchday, can't wait!!!!

Is there any transport back to Barcelona after the match?

I couldn't find any when I looked, so we're staying the night after the game in Perpignan. Booked a train for the next day to Girona, then getting local bus to Lloret.



What's everyone doing before the game? We arrive in Perpignan at about 3pm, drop off cases, then out to enjoy the pre-match entertainment. Never been before so any recommendations?

Just head for Le Grande Cafe de la Poste by the Castilet and take it from there





One more day in work then off to Barcelona for a week, grab a car and head to Perpignan on match day. See y'all there

On match day as Duffmqn says head for Le Grande Cafe de la Poste by the Castilet.

It's impossible to miss.



The walk from there to the ground is about 20 minutes along one straight road, after the game stay at the ground if you can because the club generally have after match BBQ and drinks available ( but not always) if they do stay back because players from both clubs join in.

I for one hope wire players don't get festive and are straight back on a plane to Blighty.
