| As we all know if we beat Wigan on Friday then we win the League Leaders Shield.
I ask can it get much better than that? By beating our old enemy in front of our own fans on our ground then we win the LLS. In addition to actually winning the LLS, we could if desired go to Hull the following week and rest anyone who has a knock in readiness for the Semi. If Carlsberg did scenarios then surely for us this would be way we would request it.

| You'll beat them comfortably. They played pretty well against us and we should have won by 3 scores but I doubt they have back to back performances in them. I still see us V you in the GF. Definitely the 2 best teams this season

| Yes, two very good reasons to try and win this one. I may be in the minority, but for me the most important one is because it allows us to rest players prior to the semi-final. Winning the LLS would be nice plus we get a £100k prize as well, but Gidley looked rejuvenated this week after having a break, so you can understand how important it might be for e.g. to give Hill or Hughes a week off.

| Yep. We have lost 1 league game in the last 10, and that was to Saints by 2 points. Our form seems to belie how we look to be playing. Even if we think we don't "look" the real deal on the pitch, the results and table don't lie.

| There can be no room for complacency in the Wigan game. They will have the belief that any slip ups by us or Hull will let Wigan sneak the title. We need our best team out there this week & let the Hull game take care of itself.

As we all know, most of our losses this year have been because goal kicking has let us down at critical times. Our best goal kicker needs to be taking the kicks & any penalties we get near the sticks we should go for goal. Fancy plays ,running the ball & trying to score tries with every play need to be kicked into touch for this game. Win ugly, but win.

| Wigan were, frankly, appalling against Hull. They have no pace in the backs, Tomkins is a total passenger, at half back Williams is a danger but blows hot and cold and Smith is useless. With Farrell back they have some aggression in the pack again but nothing to fear there either.
If Hull had made use of just 50% of their chances and possession they'd have sauntered home in a canter.
If we don't win it will be the biggest cock-up since the captain of the Titanic commented "Call that an iceberg? I've had more ice in my G&T"

Quick question. Should we win the LLS will we play our semi on the Thursday or Friday night? As the winners would we get the extra days rest.

Is there still some Premier League rule about other fixtures on a pitch a certain amount of time before a Premier League game? Hull City are at home on Saturday 1st October, so if there a rule then FC may have to play on the Thursday night regardless (assuming they finish in the top two).

| I have a feeling that if we beat these on Friday then we will face them again in the semi final two weeks later. St Helens wont lose again and will probably end up 3rd due to a slightly superior points difference.
It will be as good as it gets if we turn them over this Friday and then do the same again and knock them out of the play offs. All in front of the home supporters at the HJ.

| There's no excuse for a bumper crowd on Friday. Cut out the dart offloads and silly errors and we have a great chance. Can't wait.
