West Brom were doing this years ago as well.If us as fans cant come up with something original,we are all doomed.The south stand with its average IQ wouldnt have the brain cells to come up with something original.

Agreed, but good luck getting the people on here who think drums and PA music after tries constitute "atmosphere" to understand that.

If we done it, we'd probably look like even bigger bell ends than those that do it at Eastlands. Please, we already have Wigan fans making knobs of themselves with the 'Ultras' bollox, the last thing we should be doing is trying to perform European ultra chants/moves. Besides, half of the chav scum in the South would probably try and pick your pocket whilst they do it.



I'm all for good chants, drums on occasions, too, but trying to replicate European hooligans/ultras would be embarrassing.

Are home grown "hooligan" songs okay?



In my teens at Wilderspool I used to love "You're going home in a St John ambulance" and "It's a long way to Central station".



It's not as long a way to Central station as it used to be mind!

Songs are fine. (So long as they don't ooze with cringeworthy idiocy)



But the stuff Citeh fans are doing is laughable. The days of doing something 'original' are long gone, but, if we're to copy something, we do it the proper way. Sadly, I don't think we can get flares and an entire stand bouncing, nor do I believe we could come up with a decent chant to go with the madness. It's something generally only done on the continent, as the whole 'fan image' thing is massive over there, presenting themselves as hard and 'psycho' is something they love. That level of extreme support just doesn't exist in England, so trying to replicate it will only result in embarrassment.

The Green Brigade (Celtic Ultras) have had a brilliant effect on their support. Wigan Ultras copied their banner so obviously they're aware of this, and therefore I fully expect "Just Can't Get Enough" to be the Wigan song of choice very soon.

The wigan ultras, are not trying to be like other teams from Europe. The reason for the flags, is to add a bit of colour to the DW, thats all.

you can round up a bit of dough for flags without labelling yourselves the ultras, a name synonymous with those teams in europe! surely you knew that putting such a name to it would be inviting the comparisons and laughter??
