I wish I could look forward. The only thing I can feel positive about from Saturday is that we didn't resort to dirty underhand tactics to win a game. I am not looking forward to next season and right now I can't even get myself ready or up for it. I stick with what I said:
1. We will never know what it is like to win a Grand Final.
2. We should stop saying "When that day comes" because it simply isn't going to.

| 2007-2011 St Helens lost 5 SL Grand Finals in a row, yet in each of those years I still wished we were in their position of actually being good enough to get to the Final.

| Unlike last year, when I couldn't face watching the game back, I have now watched the game. Felt like crap watching the second half, even worse watching the interviews afterwards, but at least it's done.
Got the world cup to look forward to, going to a few games, and then start building to/looking forward to the start of the new season. We will be there or thereabouts at the business end of next season and the experiences of the last few seasons, good and bad, will only make us stronger.
Looking forward to Wembley, Old Trafford and a CC, LLS, SL treble in 2014

| St Helens might have lost 5 in a row but at least they know what its like to win one. We will never know that feeling and that is fact we all have to get used to. We are not big enough or good enough. Sad to say but true.

What a shame. Still, show him a vid of the Anderson/Plange era or any game involving Adam Doyle and he'll soon feel a lot better.

It isn't a "fact" and it isn't "true" and BTW I'm not prepared "to get used to it" God help us if the majority at the Club thought like you
Give your head a wobble, sure the last three seasons have been our best chances for some considerable time, but, we have to trust Smith, Moran et al to take stock and prepare us for another tilt at the big prizes including the GF

I tried to explain to him by at his age I was watching the wire getting thrashed 80-0 but he was having none of it. I am proud to have brought my lad up to feel so passionately about The Mighty Wire.

Judging that you only have 4 posts to your name I'm going to assume that you are:
A) A troll with a fake account (which if you ask me is a very sad and lonely thing to do).
Or
B) You are not a true supporter/fan of the club. Your lack of passion for someone who calls himself/herself a Wire, I find quite frankly disturbing.
Like everyone I was upset and hurt when we lost. I went straight home, tried to forget about it and went to sleep. HOWEVER Not only am I a loyal and passionate Warrington supporter I am also a Rugby League fan. I feel privileged to have watched so many legends (of the game and for club respectively) on the same pitch at the same time. The last Warrington Vs Wigan final was in 1990, that's 23 years ago. Who knows how long it may be till the next? The game was fantastic and full of drama and the atmosphere was electric and from what I could see there was no trouble (aside from heavy banter which, on any other night, may have made me laugh). Both sets of fans were a credit.
May Rugby league continue in this fashion, thrilling finals, intense rivalry and amazing Rugby League. We really do have the greatest sport in the world.

| I do remember certain eras at the Club very well and I know things didn't go brilliantly for us at the beginning of Super League but I would like to point out that this is the first time I have spoken RL this way. I have been watching the Wire for just over 30 years and am I Wire and I feel that every time we think we are going to bag a title we can't. This is what has led me to feel the way I do.
I have a great passion for the Wire but I am also very realistic. We are a cup team at best. May I suggest if we want a Grand Final trophy that we go and make one as that is the closest we'll ever to get to one right now. I do not feel good ahead of next season. Still to many 30 somethings in the squad and not much action right now in replacing the incredible talent that is leaving the club.
I thought we were damned unlucky on Saturday. Yes I was there and saw my little cousin of 5 at the end of the game in tears and that hurt me enormously. For me having a period of 20-25 mins in an 80 min game does not make you the best team. I felt that the tackle on Ratchford was reckless at best and went unpunished. I felt we were done out of 12 points at the start of the second half. I am not sure the referee knows the difference between a charge down and a knock on. He sure messed up regarding Ryan getting through with a free ball after they dropped it entering a tackle on half way.
I look at last Saturday as being our last chance in a long long while. Should we get to the GF next year I may, and this is a major decision for me, think twice about attending.

two points in one game back in 2010 has stopped us finishing in the top two for the last four years. We're hardly a cup team.
