Just can't see it. If he were to end up back in league, and in this country it'd probably end up being in a Leeds shirt, if the rumours are to be believed. But If there's a chance, and it's within the club's financial reach I'd love the club to go all out and try. I wont be holding my breath though.

Would the clubs insurance for Harrison cover his time out injured, taking him off the playing register but keeping him financially secure.

We are sort of back to where we were at pre season last year.

So positions 8,10 & 13 we have Hill, King,Simms, Dodds, Evans, Westerham and maybe Westwood. one long term injury and we will suffer.

For 11 & 12 we have Currie Wilde, Hughes and Philbin with Laithwaite possibly returning some point in the season.

Our ability to rotate or rest players is limited with the current squad if the Harrison rumour is true.

I know that players can have a terrible injury and come back and play a number of years without a problem but when you look at the injuries that Dodds, Laithwaite and Evans have had it is rolling a dice to some degree.

Another forward is needed. Shame for Harrison. He does a lot of work that goes Un noticed

Always fun when someone makes a statement like this with their very first post after first having registered 3 days ago. Absolutely everyone has assumed that it's correct and Ben Harrison has already been taken to the knackers yard and is now 36 cans of Pedigree Chum. The Club made 3 announcements today, this wasn't one of them. Have any of you thought that this might not be correct?

Given the nature of the claims, it doesn't warrant an announcement does it?

Dunno about the registration bit, but it's been mentioned a few times over the last couple of weeks about him needing an operation to clean his knee up, which would put him out for ages.

I have heard it will happen pending the complications around a testimonial. If we de-register Harrison, he will end 9 years with the club, and with it, the benefits/money that comes with the testimonal.

It would be very unfair of any club to release a player like Ben without testimonial and I don't think for one minute Warrington would do it. He is a top lad and truly deserves his testimonial he does a lot around Warrington charity wise which a lot of the time is un-reported.

Chris Riley spent 9 years at Warrington without a testimonal. Ben Harrison has been here for 9 years also. If he does move on it will be interesting to see what will happen. I hope he does come back if he does leave.

Confirmed on the WA Guardian site out for six to eight months after various ops, Smith is happy with the squad with no new signing imminent.
