I think the atmosphere has been draining out of the stadium for a number of years since we left Wilderspool. Results are partly to blame but the fact is that our stadium layout does not help matters. The atmosphere at the moment is away from life.

The stadium layout is the problem, surely some more thought should have gone into the planning.

Looking at some of the new grounds that have been built since (Leigh Sporting City and Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium) the Halliwell Jones Stadium already looks dated.



Face it, we knocked it up on the cheap, no thought went into where best the home crowd should be seated/standing and the result is a pretty poor atmosphere.

you leave us alone in the west, although you probably can't hear us we have a good sing song.. only down side keith the beef is stood behind us!

Simple answer is home fans in west stand behind the sticks. Yes and divide the south into two sections. I think it is a crowd control issue that is stopping that and therefore will neve happen though.

Simple answer is move all home games to a friday night, miles better atmosphere under the floodlights

We need some acoustic lagging in the away end to try and silence the away supporters .That stand is just acting as an amplifier and for me the noise they appear to make at present is totally out of proportion with their numbers.

why not give out song sheets to people so we all no what to sing



i do agree with Mark pre match meet up is the way forward you have two pubs outside the ground and on match days you want to hear the fans bellowing out the chants i think it would gee up thye north satnders
