Briers has one full GB cap against France in 2001.
if we are including non Wire players then it has to be Tommy Martyn, IMO far and away the best uncapped player, how a guy of his skill didn't play for GB was baffling

Best uncapped number 7 ever. Initially suffered because of Murphy and Tommy Bishop. For the World Cup in 1974 Alan Bates of Dewsbury was picked in front of him. Bates wasn't fit to tie Parry's boot laces. A few days after the selection we played Dewsbury at Wilderspool. Unfortunately Bates didn't play as Parry turned on a master class and scored 5 tries. |
