Well as we beat you yesterday and you consider its already a certain Wigan win in the final, what would have been the point of you being there?

because habitually we beat Wigan and our record shows that. I bet they are over the moon not be playing us and playing Hull.

shame about this thread as i think its a bit of sour grapes or a bit of a leg pull gone wrong, i went yesterday and before during and after thought both sets of fans where great, the clapping and backslapping from the wire fans after the match made me proud to be a rugby supporter, to all the brill wire fans i applaud you

I am amazed by anyone thinking Tony Smith is arrogant. I've always found him to be very generous and respectful to any opposition and very fair in his assessment of games - English football managers could learn a hell of a lot from him in conducting themeslves. The Saturday before last he was in the club shop while I was in there with my son and we approached him to have a photo taken. He couldn't have been more pleasant and obliging, and the way he was speaking to others in the club shop showed him to be a very decent individual indeed.

Unfortunately that counts for nothing when you're playing someone else.

You've certainly had the edge over us for a few years now but i think it would of been a classic final (with a Wigan win by the way) and there would of been no better way to end that hoodoo.

Think that's the bit that UTB missed - god forbid I ever go to a club where's he's the compare (and scarily, I do have to work in Hessle once a month)...... as for sour grapes - lighten up .... everyone in that ground, no matter who they support, saw Wire make a mess of simple ball retention under pressure and making the final 10 yards too many times. And Hull said "Gift Horse? Ta very much" and off they go to Wembley ....



I sincerely hope they enjoy it, but, as at the Etihad, some of them need to lighten up and enjoy the good times.
