No I doubt it Lynda especially after seeing all the stick Andy Mazey got from certain members of the board for trying to organise one on FB. It truly sickened me that these so-called professional men can behave like that towards someone who has done wonders for our club. They ought be ashamed of themselves.



As far as I can see we now have directors falling over themselves to pay for sponsorship of the players on behalf of various FB groups and it's all getting a bit silly for me.



Good luck with this one though, I just hope the directors concerned keep their beaks out.

Why so bitter Mish? It comes through in every one of your posts. Incidentally I noticed quite a few people had misunderstood things that had been said/promised/offered over on FB. Its like chinese whispers except everyone is shouting

Lots of good stuff and great ideas come from forums , but unfortunately we all don't totally agree all the time and think the same.

Also after reading it all again, I don't think that the board members have said anything wrong at all, just made a couple of suggestions , that seem to have been taken the wrong way.



This sponsorship idea is not new , we on here have done it for Three years now and I was always going to run it , but after the LISA player is announced next week, when we know whos available.



Andy took to ask on the Banter Page and there was a good response, so if theres not enough on here to cover it , we wont do it simple, but if the other comes off, at least the club get that money, and that's the main thing, is it not ?

I'm not bitter about anything Derek, I'm just speaking my mind about what I think is unacceptable behaviour and, judging by the responses to the FB thread in question, I'm obviously not the only one.

Facts were something was being sold that wasn't yet available as it had not been offered to the current sponsor barely three weeks after the season had ended. A genuine error seized upon by certain people who have a fraction of the truth in front of them. Funny how nobody had an issue with it last season when he was the only player left without a sponsor on the eve of the season.



Would you be so angry if that sponsor wasn't a director? How would it look if we offered the shirt to someone else without speaking with 02 first?



The only reason I am replying to you on a public forum is because you are making insults to directors (plural) from the fb thing which means either me or derek. I'm not going to let my family read stuff like that when you haven't a clue what actually happened or the motives behind wanting to keep Jamie which was always to hand over to the leyther ladies as encouragement (has your leader told you I set a target of increasing our female support by 30% per year) in the hope they in turn would then support Lisa.



If you have an issue with that mish an want to turn it negative then that's a great shame.



Everyone's pounds and pennies are value the same. Whether they sponsor a sock or a stadium we do our best to make them feel valued despite the same few people from the same quarters wanting to kick us in the process.

I totally agree that existing sponsors should be asked first but that's Amanda's fault for sending out that particular list. Everyone makes mistakes but if they weren't yet on the open market why didn't you, DB or Amanda not say so right at the beginning of the thread, explaining that they hadn't yet been offered to existing sponsors?



Instead, DB once again jumps in to try and humiliate Andy by berating him like a naughty school kid and he obviously wasn't aware of the rules himself as he then offered to 'buy' Jamie for the Banter Page whilst you took someone else. He then had the cheek to say this to one of the fans "[iI am just the person currently burdened with its financial responsibility as others have been before me and will be after me and the level I have been prepared to be burdened with this year is the reason we are where we are which I think deserves a little more respect than your post delivers." Now I don't know who you think 'my leader' is (I presume you think it's Andy) but let me assure you I'm nobody's 'yes man', I just know what's right and what's wrong, and I know that some of the stuff I've been reading over the last month or so leaves a nasty taste in my mouth.



Now I'm going to split this thread so as not to disrail the sponsorship one.

I definitely think the board are doing a great job and they have my backing

i had the pleasure and displeasure of meeting both Derek Beaumont and Andy Mazey at Headingley. all i will say is one was a true gent, down to earth nice guy who was very polite and well mannered, the other was an arrogant, rude drunk who walked around like he was Don king the boxing promoter lol.

A mistake was made and they are suddenly the devil incarnate.



I have to agree with Lynda and I include Andy too. He is still very visible and still committed to supporting our great club.

I think the board are doing a great job too, I just don't like the way some are behaving. The Andy Mazey thing isn't just a one off, I've seen other references to him too and it reminds me of school yard bullying where the 'in crowd' pick on the outsider. It's just childish and unprofessional.
