According to League Express, there is a compromise being put forward of 14 teams in superleague with the million pound game being between 6th and 7th. This would I am sure be welcomed by many championship clubs and the bottom 6 of superleague, while also satisfying Sky's need for a million pound match. This makes it imperstive to get 4th and if so do the fans think we would be nailed on for one of the 14 slots?

Whilst it would give us a better chance, than the current SL structure, (if we can make the top 4) I can't help thinking they are looking at both Toronto & Toulouse.

The Keighley Cougars statement I read seemed to show a concensus of SL1 and SL2 both with 10 teams, licensing to return, with all clubs below SL2 returning to amateur.



Now I'm presuming that will take effect in 2022. So theres lots of questions around who will make the cut in the coming few years. 14 teams in SL to return to 10 in 3 years time isn't an answer. The only reason for doing that would be to assist the expansion clubs. But again to possibly see them demoted to SL2 when the changes come into effect isn't an answer.



If the game requires change (which it does IMO) then those changes should be implemented asap. I don't see the point in changing the structure to see it changed again in 3 years time.

I would go with a 15 team Super league, with teams having a bye to help recouperation:

Whatever happens, they can't have one rule for Super league and one for another. I would go with 2 up 2 down in all divisions.

Yes, as the playoffs do'nt start till August, so would probably havecto be announced shortly.

1 team gets 1 week off

So as a Leigh fan you would select Widnes & Salford to be in the SL 15 over Leigh ?

If this true it’s a way of getting Toronto and Toulouse in there that’s what the rfl have wanted all along its slowly dying a death the game

It fulfills their 5 year plan.

Toronto and Toulouse are the top two Championship clubs on merit, it’s nothing to do with the RFL.



The change of league structure is Saint Helens led, supported by most other Super League clubs, again nothing to do with the RFL anymore.
