Hartley was my MOM, but as a team it was great performance.



Usually at some point during the game both teams have the upper hand, but today we controlled the game from the first whistle to the last.



Well done lads, you've given us an indication of what you can do, keep up the good work.

If I was a young Leigh scrum half attempting to make my name in the game then I would be hanging on to Hartley's shirt tails, He's a tall lad, there is always a pass in him and he managed to get his hands through Fev's line on numerous occasions today. We could have scored even more.



A promising performance.

Tim has lost a lot of pace in the last couple of years due to his knee injuries. He has had to adapt his game and a lot of what he does goes un-noticed. His kicking game is excellent, he always finds the gap between winger and fullback. We have also seen today what a good goal kicker he is. He and Robbie were allowed to dominate today because of the platform layed down by the forwards.

Just been watching a Catherine Tate episode I taped a week or so ago.



On another thread I said about several players having their best games since arriving at our club.

Play like that every week ie our team and I'll be well satisfied.

Tim was awesome today - in fact I can't fault anyone. From one of the worst displays I have seen last week to one of the best - thanks lads you've made me a happy guy this weekend.

A half-back is only as good as the pack in front of him, and that set of forwards absolutely destroyed Fev today. Been a long time since we can say that.



Best compliment I can say about Hartley today is that he barely got his kit dirty - his passing and timing was spot on so he was very rarely caught in possession. Some say he needs to take the line on a bit more, but what's the point when a) his knee injuries have all but destroyed his pace and b) he can send the likes of Leuleui and Nanyn through gaps all afternoon as he did today?

Feel sorry for Ridyard,not done anything wrong but he is going to have to work hard to get back in to the team after todays performance.We suddenly have competition for places when you think who did not play today,Meakin,Mort,Higson,Durbin,Bibey,Nash and the other dual contract players.

We've lacked competition the past few years, and now we have it, it should give the lads an extra motivation. Especially when they know Basil isn't afraid to change them.

Thats only good in my opinion, lets keep it up come on Leigh.

Indeed what a difference a week makes....well done Tim and all the lads, best performance for ages, really enjoyed todays game.

As some of mentioned that was our best overall performance for quite a long time... The defence was top drawer and the willingness from the players in this aspect was awesome . Its been a long time since we`ve witnessed such a totally destructive defensive display against a top side.

Well done to all the players and coaching staff.......Very impressive to say the least.
