Hope not one of the nice guys is Steve far too nice for Des boy.

Thought he only sacks successful coaches?

Any doubters on us might want to check our results against these two teams. I am more than happy I got 14/1 for us to win it!

I think its more a case of anybody can beat anybody in this league which is why its a more competitive league than the crock of poo that has been served up in SL. The teams that can be consistant at home will take the glory as i suspect away wins will be very hard to come by. Personally i dont think Leigh will have enough strength in depth to win it but with a couple of seasons steady building theres no reason why they cant be a major force in this league in a couple of years.

The point being pal as you say its a close race I feel between us, Halifax, Widnes and Barrow so anyone who wants to continually give me 14/1 for a four horse race I will back us all year!

For me, it depends on how much we (or other teams, for that matter) can use the dual registered players. Suddenly, Mitchell, Blythe, McCarthy, and Emmitt have added some quality depth to a squad that was previously light on numbers.

I'd agree with all of that but dont think we are too far behind Fax and Barrow already - the difference is maybe a couple of squad players and a better 6. Individually we have had good players for the last few seasons, but collectively they've not performed for various reasons.



Combine our 1, 7, 9, and 13 with the same from Barrow Fax and Widnes and I dont think there are many better 'on the whole', but 6 is where we'll struggle unless Hartley gets fit and does what he's told to do or Ridyard starts to consistantly do what I think he is capable of.



One thing is for sure, from what I have seen so far there isnt another pack in the league who will get the better of ours. They're strong, fit, mobile, and as a unit as tough as I've seen in our colours for a long time.

You are so RIGHT Fred, though i know Ste Maccas dad Jim better, i still know Ste, and he is one of lifes nice guys ,NO DOUBT , Des doesnt deserve him thats for sure .

Barra lost to Fev clearly by a good margin & on their home soil that makes me happy

to do anything this season a team has to win most if not all of their home games and pick up 5 or more wins away from home
