Simple facts are there has been a lot of rotation all year so Paul can only pick 17, if your not at your best you don't get in.
I believe that policy has won us the league this year with such a strong squad. I'd guess Spencer is probably the top earner but that means nothing if your not performing.
I expect 30 odd players to celebrate come Friday evening irrespective of who is in the 17!!
