Just give York and miners the east stand and split that. I don't know what the fuss is about!

Surely, if Leigh/York were told they would get 20% of the gate between them, they'd be satisfied. That's at least 1000 fans, more than they'd get either at Twist Lane or up in York. Why not? I believe it would give a big boost to both Leigh teams, having them play together, getting more fans through the gate to cheer them on. Imagine what a historic day it would be for the town if both were to progress!?

Surely the Centurions could come to some agreement with the Miners/Knights to make sure they are not at least out of pocket. I know I would turn up early to watch both matches, say 1 o'clock Miners, 3 o'clock Leigh. That way we would not be clashing with Chelsea v. Man U. at 5.30.

Quite right. LMR should have their day without having the pro teams day as a distraction.

Really? If I were an amateur player, I'd much rather the opportunity to play in front of potentially 5000 fans in my home town, than 'having my own day' in front of 700. It truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most.

Yeah, the finance is the other part of it. Leigh MR were moaning about having to rent LSV and that they couldn't afford it. Doing a double-header would have made far more sense financially as well. Anyway.
