Rested/dropped are pretty much the same thing worded differently so early into a season. Just means he wasn't picked for this weeks match. We have 3 halfbacks and 2 spots. The two we picked in week 1 went poorly so one of them missed out in week 2.



We have 3 good half backs and none of them should be undroppable. Certainly not to appease the media obsession with Brierley. We have cover in every position and if anyone in the side plays poorly they are in danger of being dropped/rested/rotated the following week. Ryan is no exception.



Why Jagger thinks that this needed a 2nd thread on top of the existing 7 page thread is beyond me. Clearly responding on every single thread on the forum isn't enough now and he feels the need to start his own in order to be the centre of attention

Rotation/resting appears to be the policy for Leigh this year, it is something that a lot of players are going to have to get used to. Hopefully the competition for places that we currently have will push Ryan further and make a better player of him.

The question I have is why is someone closely connected to Leigh Centurions going on other boards linking Brierley with clubs

Tony, don't you start with all this Lanky and Yorkie dialect,for me rested or Dropped ,I think Ryan has to be in the starting 13, obviously it's only my opinion,and we all have them,if Ryan was dropped on behavior then I accept that, but I'm not in favour of resting him, and surely if Ryan had to be rested it would have been better him to play against Oldham and rest against London, giving him more time to recover and rest.Charlie knows.

Maybe he didn't fit in with what the coach wanted to try this week. I really don't know what everyone is worrying about. At the end of the day if he leaves, he leaves. Players come and go. Yes it would be good to keep him and rumours of him leaving started long before our new signings arrived. If his agent and indeed Ryan keep responding to press questions then the rumors will continue. The press are being continually provided with information/rumour, some of which is confidential, for a reason. I think its time for some decisive action to put a stop to all this.

Can't win at the minute though can we. I guarantee if we had have dropped/rested Rangi instead of Ryan this week there would have been a dozen rumours started about how it was because Rowley/Jukesy didn't want to sign him in the 1st place, or he had gotten into trouble/fallen out with a team mate or Derek insisted Ryan HAD to play to stop him leaving for a SL club etc etc.



Everything we do at the minute is subjected to intense scrutiny and then wild speculation.

As an avid Leigh fan, I could not care less if a player is 'rested' or 'dropped' !
