Yes it does make you wonder who designs stadia costing tens of millions of pounds that only can manage to keep a quarter of the people in them dry when it drizzles with rain ?

Not much of a problem in the East Stand - the issue comes from such a big gap between the seating and the roof.

Wouldn't give it long until the LSV make us pay out for huge buckets to keep all the rainwater for the sprinklers.





Because they wanted a pretty stadium and logic doesn't enter the equation. Similar situation as to why there's a huge gap space between the back row of the seatings and the railings for the exec boxes.

On a plus side we`d have been drowned rats at HP.

Well I did ask why they didn't drill a borehole as Warrington did to supply the water requirements for the stadium , it paid for itself after 2 years apparently

Managed to get in those top two rows of seats today in the West Stand.

Nice and dry in the Tommy Sale stand whatever the weather was doing.



In fairness in general I find a lot of the new sports stadia plastic, souless, cold and bland, its up to us to change that but even in football I prefer the old grounds.

If I'm honest the benefit of a new sports ground to me (thus far) amounts to a Breezebrock toilet area with a roof instead of a brick one (with occasional roof) and cold hand dryers and a cold tap that works (although the LSV has hot water taps and hot driers that work

)

I prefered the toilets at Hilton Park





At least in our bum didn't get frost bite!!!!!!!!!!
