Would you play a non televised game on a Friday evening?

If true thats pretty poor form from SKY, the first game they pick is two between 2 SL teams that we have had to watch all season.

Why would we play on a Friday night?

Why would Salford get two home games in the first two weeks? Only have three at home.

Why would Hull KR get a six day turn around when every other team has two weeks?



I would have thought teams with four home games would play at home in weeks 1,3,5 and 7 and teams with three would play at home weeks 2,4 and 6.



If these are genuine I think the RFL have made a bit of a pig's ear of it.

Seems a bit odd, especially against the team/fans that has to travel furthest, will impact your gate massively.

Regarding jjm's reply. Not that simple. For example both Leigh and Bradford have four home games but Bradford have to play at Leigh so they'd be away on one of your designated home days. Also the fixtures are partly decided by ground availability.

We make a lot of money through corporate hospitality. It's difficult to fill corporate hospitality at short notice on a weekend, much easier on a week night. I don't know, but I expect that is why (if the fixture is correct).

Obviously playing Friday to get full 7 days prep. for Widnes match against their 5-well done backroom staff on this. Also less support for Rovers plus night matches lead to better atmosphere - what's not to like?

I can understand the turnaround between games but not the atmosphere. Haven't gates been lower than average when we've played on a Friday in the last couple of years?
