I know why they are doing the freebies its because we are on telly so the more the merrier for next thursday as there's nothing worse than an empty looking stadium on tv tut.I just hope that the people who normally pay dont take advantage of the offer ,thats defeating the object plus likes been said we need new fans to come back .

Nice to see the club tryin to fill the ground, my mate said last night that her son and his friend from Westhoughton have got free tickets I think she said from Westhoughton Lions. Well Done.

Why should that have to be the case ?



As long as it is a parent and a child , they are doing the correct thing with using a seperate stand , that is the important part , as for any of the ' gloryhunting t055ers ' that only turn up with a freeby , not a problem , but they have to sit with families and the bar should be shut , no transfers

So can someone clear up how you get one and where from? Do you need to be a member of Easts or Miners?

It doesn't need to be. I put that because it said that thats what the ticket will admitt. I dont care if it's an adult and one or even three children so long as it is not just one, two or even three adults using this promotion together. Like I said before it needs to be policed properly so that the famillies it is targeting are the ones using it.

Which is the important bit , so then the question is , will the club/LSV have stewards checking this outside the turnstiles at the south stand ?



Will they refuse entry to and retain the tickets of anybody not complying with the free family criteria ?



Will they refuse to allow any transfers once inside the ground ?



Will they decline the sale of alcohol in the south stand ?



The one other thing they should be doing is having somebody giving out a ' flyer ' to everybody else entering the stadium having bought a ticket explaining the reasoning behind free tickets and why the club has to try these type of initiatives if we are ever to , 1 st become a self sustaining Championship club , and 2 nd ever have a chance of getting into SL



I understand Peawaps point of view , but quite simply it is wrong , and that tells us and the club that they are not informing the loyal paying fans of why it is so important to try any means to grow our support base

The important thing is it should have been clearly stated on the form for the tickets and yes a flyer should be produced or posters put up inside the ground telling fans the reason for the free tickets. But and it is a big but you will still have resentment towards the club if people are allowed to abuse the "free familly ticket offer" and there will always be people willing to try it on. What I would say is this time see how it goes and learn from any problems that arise. And why do you need stewards checking the tickets outside when you have people on the turnstilles and stewards stood just inside. Oh and while I'm at it if this offer is only open for the south stand it should be pretty easy to police. Simples.
