However, my opinion is that, if someone (anyone) wishes to fork out cash, on the day, then LSV should be willing to accommodate them.

Cant see cash turnstyles solving the queing problem altogether unless there is more than 1

I have arrived between 2:30pm and 2:50pm and never had a major delays getting in. Mountain being made here out of a very small grass verge

Quite simple Steve if they get there early they dont have to queue if thats not a good enough incentive then what is, its the same old same old, price of beer will be next, then the price of the food, new stadium new rules live with it or not, they tried cash turnstyles and for some reason or other they didnt 'work' if folk cant grasp a simple enough scenario of turning up early enough to get a ticket, then whose fault is that. Im always early for everything I do thats been my philosphy in life if people want to arrive last minute thats up to them but if they do they queue, if they want to say sod it that just shows how selfish unthinking and plain bloody mindidness, the rules are there and have been for 15 months now its hardly rocket science.

Its 2010 not 1960 entrance by tickets is an acceptable practice in most entertainment venues.

Miss the queing buy a season ticket simples.



seriously though Its the same in all walks of life, you want to miss the traffic you set off earlier, you want a stress free shopping trip in asda you go on a monday night instead of saturday!!!



You cant please everybody all the time!!

Its a no win situation , if you want a pint before the game then buy a ticket first then you can turn up at 2-50 and go straight in , I do





A town centre ticket office is out of the question posssibly due to running costs and H&S logistics so its back to square one





And no modern stadium has pay on the gate facilities these days .

It's easy turn up early buy a ticket (yes I ahve a season ticket) and go to Leigh East, cheap, beer, chips, burgers, curry then go to the game.

the only reason for the queues last sunday was that so many saddos wanted to watch the waste of space on TV before the REAL game, it was their own fault.

No sympathy for them ones.

Rarely have successful businesses been built on the philosophy of making it as hard as possible for the consumer to obtain a product. Successful businesses take great care to give good value products. Value is not only measured against money but the difficulty in obtaining the product too.



One time I was at the ticket office on Saturday and the bloke in front said he’d travelled from Northwich to get the tickets as he couldn’t get there in time to pick the tickets up on the Sunday. This fan, then, made two return trips from Northwich to Leigh in order to go and watch Leigh. He and three friends had only decided to go the day before (probably down the pub) so posting tickets out wasn’t an option. If I’d have been this bloke, I would have sacked the idea. For me, the extra car journey would have tipped the balance and I’d have stayed at home.



Value per Investment = (Quality of Product) / (Cost of Product) = (Matchday Experience + Quality of Rugby + Results)/(Price of ticket + time spent obtaining ticket)



Common sense says that we need to increase the Value per Investment which means increasing Matchday Experience, Quality of Rugby and Results whilst reducing the price of tickets and time spent obtaining tickets as far as possible. Since it’s probably unrealistic to reduce the price, you’re left with the following as a strategy....

arrive ten minutes earlier, even simpler.

And if everyone arrived 10 minutes earlier there would still be a queue.
