The club as risen from the shambles of the previous boards and the only way is up.

We'll all be training full time, so the difference will come in who was wisest spending their cash.
One advantage: Leigh are riding high with a winning mentality. Bradford & London have been relegated.

| Just out of interest is it true again that there is scope for teams to have an extended salary cap in this league if its proven they can afford it?

| If anyone should be worried about 2015 it is Fax and Fev. You would expect Leigh. London and Bradford to be 3 of the top 4. One of them is going to find themselves playing in the bottom 8 with nothing to play for (other than the losers shield and avoiding relegation to oblivion) in front of sub-1000 crowds and a meagre payout for 2016 for their troubles. A world of difference between 4th and 5th next year!

| Quote Greg Florimos Boots="Greg Florimos Boots"I think on evidence this season the new Bradford regime must have done a great job managing their money given they probably pay their squad only a little more than what Leigh have spent but have still managed to compete at times with teams spending close to 3 times what they have. History says that both teams have a very bad record when it comes to managing finances so really should not be taken in to account.
You are right about the new faces thing though which is one area Leigh could get a start on them but =#FF0000by the time the middle 8 comes around it will probably have little bearing and given both teams will have their squads just about sorted by this October it could have less relevance than it may normally have.
London are just a weird entity altogether as you say they wont get the crowds but that hasnt stopped them over performing for many years in SL but it has helped having a guy throwing money at them helping them stay afloat. If the money dries up they will go out of business so if they dont get results straight away then they could simply tumble leaving a space in the top 2 open for Leigh and a space in the top 4 for either Dewsbury or Fax.'"
Whilst we are looking at 'history', it could well transpire that Bradford, and/or London will have gone bust again by the time of the 'middle 8', in their desperation to get into that group!!

| Like Maurice (Neil) said, not worried at all...can't wait for 2015....thanks ever so much the Leigh board/players/coaching staff/sponsors.
London are assembling a better side (imo) than this season, but the majority of our players have been performing superbly for 12 months !!!!
London will be a NEW side, though Bradford should do OK. Though I must confess to not having a crystal ball.

| Crikey, I'm more concerned that we can actually finish THIS season injury free and have a good old crack at the Play off's!

Way way too early to be predicting anything for next season. I think London, Leigh and Bradford have to get a few matches under their belt before hailing their top three finishing places!! You're sounding like Wigan fans already!!

Well, I said "expect", which I think is a perfectly reasonable assessment of the situation. But I'll donate fifty quid to the charity of your choice if Fax finish above Leigh next season (pre-Middle . Care to reciprocate?

| London will take a few by surprise next year. It can be a tough place to go and play, their new home is brilliant and whilst few in numbers they have some of the loudest supporters in the game.
I can see some part time players struggling with the journey. However I'm not complaining, we need the first phase of the season to be as tough as possible in order to make any impact in the qualifiers.

| From this taken from New Era RFL Site
The new structure allows for that increased investment and sees the best performing Championship clubs receive up to £750,000 per season from 2015, which will enable them to recruit a competitive squad and invest in the player development pathways needed to achieve sustained success. The top Championship clubs will also receive funding increases at the end of 2014.
I would expect the championship funding to be something like this for 2016
1) 750k
2) 600k
3) 500k
4) 450k
