Bradford haven't played at this level for a long time now, so there's not really any genuine "rivalry", in that time, it seems there seems to have been some bad blood growing between the players at Leigh, Fax, Fev, Batley etc... leading to heated games that inevitably boil over. A lot is made of Derek Beaumont's twitter account, but there have been a lot of stuff on Twitter from players of various clubs over the last 18 months, directed at Leigh players, that have since been deleted. No doubt after being given some wise words of advice. Doesn't excuse ill discipline on all sides (and it is on all sides, all as bad as each other imo), but explains some background and difference between Leigh / Bradford vs other championship clubs.



As for reactions of fans. Bradford will have a lot less fuss. They were world club champions 10 years ago, and are now in the second tier, where they probably expected to be clear winners. Leigh on the other hand have just had a club record winning run and the best squad we've assembled in a generation, so we're entitled to be pretty excited! Problem is one or two go too far, and suddenly "All Leigh fans are arrogant!"



There'll be numerous other factors as well, but that's my attempt at a genuine answer anyway.

He was banned within a month of taking the test though.

Neither of the last two points will help to stop the rumours unfortunately.

This is where all this anger from Andy comes from. I speak to him regularly, as I work in Lee Braceks salon on Leigh Road. I give him his regular "back, sack and crack" and his "spray tan". It was in the middle of one of our regular sessions, that Andy was stood in the middle of the salon, in just the disposable paper pants we gave him. The tears and snotty bubbles were being fought back. When he said "WHY oh WHY WONT ROWLEY SIGN ME???"

We both know why that is, players from other teams are starting to hate Leigh and all they stand for a perfect eg is Bradford hammered Donny the other week, they did what they had to do and beat them easily, no show boating, no ss taking just beat them. Now Leigh hammered them and took the s rubbing it in. another eg was that little shiiitehouse McNally in blackpool running 20 yards over to blackmoor when he dropped the ball to mock him when on the floor, players don't like it and there starting to hate Leigh and Rowley, that's not me saying it its other championship players, what I do know is that big wheel has a very nasty habit of spinning right round, and it will and when it does I will laugh my gonads off along with every championship player and fan from every other club

Possible reasons



1. All Yorkies ultimately have the same blood line so are all Cousins really

2. We are the only Lanky club, and that breeds a us/them seige mentality imo

3. Fax/Batley is really about 1 player now, last year was Barlow with Fax

4. Fev are hurting after dominating when it didnt matter, the fake sheikh spell and the 6 beatings on the trot. Being found out as drug cheats and almost going pop has led to drugs and salary cap accusations from some of your brethren Robin

5. Our head patting was stupid but we dont seem to be doing it now - hopefully

6. The RL press is Yorkshire dominated and employs such HQ staff as Senior!!

7. Bradford really were hacked they lost game 1, and the smokescreen they threw around it was believed by those not attending via the media mentioned above
