It seems he was on Salford's pay roll until yesterday so how he signed for anyone 8 weeks ago is a question. The next question is saying he was free to leave Salford on a free transfer since July why have they now needed to sack him. ( can't sack someone who signed elsewhere (salfordlad?)I guess no one wants to pay the salary he thinks he is worth.

He is playing for Leigh in our next match.

How do players go on signing for other teams when the season is still running? On your thinking Bradford could just rip up Jonny Campbell's contract(well there shouldnt be a signed one any way), if they wanted to.

You cannot be contracted to more than one club, whether anything is 'signed' or not.



He is also quoted by someone who spoke to him at Leeds last Friday that he was definitely going to Leigh but nothing was signed yet.

No player in their right mind would leave themselves open to that sort of grey area hence the Campbell situation. How are Bradford going to honour the players contract if one cant exist?

Ok, let's re-word it again to cover the 'signing' of pre-contract contracts

The RFL probably have a problem registering a player with two clubs (don't mention dual reg).

Rangi signed for Leigh weeks ago as I previously mentioned (I think it was the day of the Bradford game, when he was a p*ssed up guest of Beaumonts), he just hasn't been registered to the RFL as a Leigh player as they're not allowing this happen at the moment. Until Derek can either get an increase in the cap, or come up with another way of fitting him under the cap (it isn't difficult) then he wont be registered nor announced.

Is that the reason why Barlow was offered to Salford?

Chase only cares about number 1, always has always will.



I reckon he has an agreement that he will join Leigh if it can be made possible.



I also think if something else comes along meanwhile then he will go back on his "agreement" and be off like a shot.



Money talks in most people's world and I suspect most certainly does in Chases world.



This is why I'd prefer him not to become a Leigh player however, he would still get my distant support if he did come to Leigh until the point came where I could say "told you so"



All this is of course my opinion based on what I know of Chase whilst he has played in this country.



By the way I find it hard to forgive someone who recklessly aims to hurt his fellow players (Tangi Ropatis jaw, Brett Ferries ligaments to name just Two cowardly acts)



Oh and before anyone else says I still haven't forgiven Gareth Hock for some of his previous dismonemeours........ but he is getting there with his actions to date playing For Leigh.

Rangi no doubt has had a chequered past,I would think every player at some point is money motivated because it's such a short career for them I don't blame Rangi one bit for wanting to get as much as he can for himself and his family.Personally I can't see him coming to Leigh for this to happen we would have to unload around 3 or 4 players and it's easier said than done as nearly all our players are under contract and would want compensation to leave.

Whatever folk think of Rangi , Hock or anyone else for that matter once a player dons a Leigh shirt then I support him,Gareth Hock for me has been a good signing ,I personally can't wait for his book to be released .

If Chase is not playing for Leigh,your club has reaped the rewards in season ticket sales from the people who bought them thinking he was.Yes Chase can play for Leigh in your next game if its a friendly.Leigh could sign Chase then send him out on loan,he could then return for the play offs.
