1817 attendance according to Sportinglife - even Quins got more than that!

Vey enjoyable game I thought.



Regarding the attendance it was boosted by two Leythers who I spotted right at the end in Leigh shirts and the obligatary red and white scarves.

I know most SL fans don't seem to bother with the CC till the semis, but that is shocking. From their much publicised 10000 crowd for their first game it has declined steadily in the last three games to 4000 and now this.

A competition we are no longer in , so of no relevance to us

2nd half was, 1st half seemed very flat although there was a severe lack of atmosphere which doesnt help

couldnt give a stuff about the attendance TBH a good game advert for RL and was it not Matt who was one of the Leigh fans?

yes agree it was a gud game the point was that that the rfl in there wisdom gave both the teams a super league spot and the crowd was less then 2000 what gud is that for our game

What on earth makes you think it belongs to us ? , It belongs to the person who bought it , a certain Mr Murdoch I believe

thats why i couldnt give a stuff about the attendance (or lack of it) that tick the box only applies to us flatcap teams

I can categorically state that the 'official' attendance is absolute tosh, there was easily close to 3,000 there...EASILY. And the atmosphere mustn't have carried over well on telly because it was a really enjoyable one at the ground, far better than I expected.



A very pleasant afternoon, it must be said - very welcoming home fans in the pub next door who, to a man, who incredibly knowledgable and enthusiastic about RL and, personally, I just think it's ace to hear proper Welsh born and bred follow our game with such dedication (spoke to one guy who only started going this season after previously just watching the games on telly - including Championship, it must be said - and has only missed two Crusaders games home and away all season)

Great game, no idea where the 1000 figure came from, on one shot from the end you could see that both sides had a good number on.



Matt.... you used to be able to sneak into the ground from The Turf at one time, I'll bet they've killed that one off now...

Think that one will have long since gone with the new stand being built. Good ground to go to though, certainly summat different (and even the Welsh can get a roof on their grounds before the Yorkshiremen!)
