Not really, I was just stating an observation that both of them were not given time to show what we were told by the club they were capable of doing. There must be a reason that both went from hero to zero in a matter of weeks. It "could" be suggested that the homework wasn't done before the appointment of both and if so then we may need to brush up on our scouting or interviewing skills...................or clear things by stating why things didn't work out in such a short time?

This is my opinion but your talking nonsense when saying Brown wasn't given a chance. What should Paul do drop in form wingers? Irrelevant of size of contract, age who signed them etc Paul treated everyone equally last season and I believe that is one of the reasons he got the maximum from the squad.



As for the scouting are you for real? Kay, Acton,Armstrong Barlow? Need I go on?



And interviewing techniques, I had the pleasure to work for the worlds biggest retailer for 6 years in that time the UK arm of the retail giant hired 5 different ecommerce directors, under went 3 re-structures and 3 financial directors. Not one press release nor announcement to his/her colleagues when they left. Just food for thought !

Your tying yourself in knots, yes the players you mention are brilliant (as are many many more in our squad) but seeing as it was you who asked the question about BROWN then I'll stick with him. He was brought in with all the bells and whistles and the promise of great things, infact he was seen to be such a star he was our official poster boy and funnily enough STILL appears to be so "take a look on our official home page".



As for pleasure in your work and what that entailed, I'll bet the same thing applied for when they arrived as when they left. ie No big fanfare like we had for DC. just food for thought.

As for Dan there was no fan fare he's been in position since early October and I think the first release with his name on was a few short weeks ago?

And still do question it ie "IF" Brown was deemed to be so good why not keep hold of him? .....we have excellent back up in the forwards?

You've drifted to say we had a fan fare on Dans arrival which as you say was announced in a Press Rlease on 17th Nov as well as the board restructure.



So that's one month and 8 days after he actually. Started and his arrival was limited to two lines on one press release and that's a fan fare.
